PEER-TO-PEER
WITH WSO.HOST
.HOST recently had an interesting interaction with Chris McGuire, Owner & Founder WSO.host. A few excerpts:
Why .host?
We registered and began to use the WSO.net domain in 1997. We tried unsuccessfully to obtain the .com for years, so when we learned about the availability of the .host TLD we made a bold decision to be an early adopter. Being able to grab a three letter TLD in 2014 was a pleasant surprise! rolex sky dweller replica

One major gain from the domain name
WSO.host instantly communicates a modern, cutting edge feel.

Any exciting plans to promote your new domain name?
We’ve been increasing our social media presence, integrating .host into our logo, advertising, hosting control panel and even phone messaging system. Additionally we’ll be mentioning our switch from .net to .host during our presentation at the 2017 cPanel Conference in September.

What is WSO.host’s USP?
We’ve been hosting since 1995. We started using WSO.net in 1997 and switched to WSO.host in 2015. Few hosting companies have survived 20+ years and kept relevant. Being hands-on has allowed us to build customer relationships that span decades, something that is simply unheard of in the hosting industry. WSO understands hosting from the ground up and has never lost sight of what is most important to our customers: reliability, stability and continuity. WSO is an experienced, small but modern web hosting company, which is a combination that appeals to small to medium sized businesses.

What are your future plans for this business?
WSO.host is end-to-end encrypted, being fully SSL enabled. We think this, and our new WSO.host domain, mesh well to communicate a modern and secure experience for our web site visitors. Future plans include promoting our new service offerings: Bad Host Rescue, WordPress 911, Always-On SSL and Domain Rescue.

Is there anything else you would like to say about .host?
The .host extension has helped us stand apart. It’s given WSO better brand recall plus the extension is a surprise element for many people. It’s easy to type-in and immediately defines our industry. Would I recommend a hosting company use the .host extension? Definitely.
